We’re delighted with how the night went. Thanks to everyone who turned up to help us party! A special thanks to Vina Mara Restaurant for hosting the event.

It’s a great start for Dine to Read, here’s hoping all our events are as successful as last night.

Making Radio Waves Comments Off

radioDine to Read has officially been launched for a week now and already we’ve attracted some attention for being Ireland’s first online book club.

Last week I got a call from Galway’s newest radio station i 102-104fm who interviewed me about Dine to Read for a programme that will air this Thursday. Then this morning I spoke with a presenter from Dublin’s  Spin Fm who had interesting views on Dine to Read and its place in bringing Irish society together in what can be isolating times.

Feels great to be surfing the airwaves with our bookclub!

Happy World Book Day! 2 Comments »

world-book-day

Today is officially World Book Day 2009. What better way to kick off Dine to Read. We’ve chosen our first book of the month which is ‘The White Tiger’ by Aravind Adiga, a book I’m just starting to get into and trust me, it’s a great read so far!

Our first Dine to Read book club event will take place in Galway on Tuesday 31st March in Vina Mara Restaurant. For details check out our events page and sign up fast as it is very nearly full up.

We’re delighted with the response to Dine to Read so far, so please keep babbling about books and enjoy the site!
