I was just wondering what the story is with the Dine To read site? It appears to be pretty inactive, discounting the few remaining loyals!! I'm checking in regularly and there seems to be very little activity. Just wondered if I missed something along the way? Reading 'The Lacuna' by Barbara Kingsolver at the minute and absolutely loving it. Took a little persistence at the beginning to get into the story but so glad I stuck with it. A really excellent read.

I too have been wondering what has happened on the site. It would be a pity if it died away as I find it most interesting & informative. Is there anybody out there?????????

Hi Ladies,
Sorry for the inactivity of late. I've been holding off announcing as I had to wait till everything was finalised.
Dine to Meet has been sold and with it the 'dinetoread.ie' name...but not the website. We will be re-launching as BookClub.ie so please bear with us and we'll be active again in no times.
Thanks for your loyal readership!

Hi,
joined this club 5 mins. ago......and I see it no longer exists!I never expected to have such a dramatic impact!Reading 'The Old Man and the Sea' (Hemmingway) at the moment and. He is still being towed by that huge fish but it is gripping. I just finished 'So Much for That' by Lionel Shriver the author of 'We need to talk about kevin'. It was a great read. The health system in the US, as portrayed in this book, would make you grateful for the Irish set up, despite its many flaws.
I am a member a great little book club. We don't take ourselves very seriously and meet once a month in the local pub for a quick discussion of the book an a general chat.
We are looking for a "Literary Outing" ( talk, reading .... )to end off our year. Any ideas?Shel
