My favourite reads of 2010;
1. A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving
2. The Time Travellers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
3. Atonement by Ian McEwan
4. The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.
Anyone else?
Room by Emma Donoghue is a great read. One of the best this year.
I keep meaning to pick that one up. I read Slammerkin by the same author a few years back and really enjoyed it.

O I loved The Help as well! I read a similar book by Hilary Jordan this year called Mudbound - it's very similar in theme so if you liked the Help you'd definitely enjoy it...

Hi, I don't think there are many of us here anymore. For those who have left I don't know if you've heard of http://www.librarything.com but it is a brilliant website with forums similar to this one (but on a grander scale!).
I really like the concept behind this but concerned that i might be joining a sinking ship...is there any way to advertise ..is there an organiser?
Have heard great reviews re: Room definitely on my list for 2011 also Catch 22 (been promising myself for a long time) and The Girl With..trilogy.
I really hope this doesnt flounder now that I have found it!!
