Dine to Read

Great Site!!!!

Boy, this book is hard work. Apparently it took this lady 20 years or something to write this book, and it sure feels like it. It may take me 20 yrs to read it. The characters (even the lowly serfs) talk like they are Professors of English Lit.
Having just finished the very light-hearted, funny and informative 'An Utterly Impartial History of Britain or 2000 Years of Upper-class Idiots in Charge' by John O'Farrell and 'Q and A' by Vikas Swarup , makes Ms Hazzard particularly heavy-going. I'll post my final verdict when finished in 20 years or so.

Finally finished this 'beautifully crafted love story' (blurb on the cover). Jeez, hard work. I guess to answer the "Finisher or ditcher" i must be a finisher to have stuck this one out. You will need utter dedication to get through it.
What a relief!
