I was just wondering what readers thought of Barbara Kingsolver as an author and if there are any books by her that would be recommended as good reads? I hadn't read any of her books till late last year and am quite in awe of her writing skills and fabulous story telling abilities. Have read 'The Lacuna' and 'The Poisonwood Bible' and absolutely loved both. Just did a quick google on Kingsolver and have discovered many other books by her and was wondering what the opinion of other books by her was.

Hi Ck.Like you I have read The Poisonwood bible and The Lacuna.I liked the first but not the second,mostly through my ignorance of the topic and the background but also because it didnt really interest me.I felt it was rather long. It was certainly different.
