What is Dine to Read?
Dine to Read provides an online forum where people can talk about books.
Each month we organise for groups of people to meet up to discuss a book of the month over a Dine to Read supper in a city centre restaurant. We group together up to ten guests per book club supper.
How much does it cost?
It is free to register with Dine to Read. It costs €45 to attend a Dine to Read book club event. This includes supper in the Dine to Read selected restaurant. Drinks are not included.
Is Dine to Read a dating service?
Dine to Read is not a dating service. Please check out www.DineToMeet.ie if you are looking to meet someone special. The focus of Dine to Read is on widening your social circle while enjoying the book club discussions. The only criteria to attend is that you have read the book of month!
How do I apply?
To take part simply register your details here and keep an eye on the events page. Once you see an event in your area, you can then reserve your place at the table.
How do I change my password?
After logging in go the ‘My Profile’ section on the top right of the screen and click ‘edit’. The change password section is located at the bottom of the screen.
What age will the group be?
Dine to Read is open to readers of all ages. Our members sign up for the events, so each book club supper will contain a range of ages.
Will I be with the same group each month?
Dine to Read will prioritise members who have attended previously, but we do not guarantee that each month the same group of people will attend.
How many people will be at the book club?
In order to run the most compatible book club, with everyone getting a chance to contribute, the maximum number per table will be ten guests.
What should I wear?
Dine to Read is a casual, relaxed and informal way to meet new people so please feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. What you would usually wear out to dinner is a perfect choice.
Can I bring a friend?
By all means, please be sure to both sign up for the same event.
How many events can I attend?
You can attend as many Dine to Read book club events as you wish. There is a standard charge of €45 per book club supper.
